“The pessimist complains about the wind
The optimist expects it to change,
But the captain adjusts the sail.”
It is indeed an honour to be able to write down this message as the Head Girl of Loreto Convent School, Tara Hall Shimla and to have the opportunity to work with my esteemed teachers, my fellow council members and most importantly, the young learning heads around me.
I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Principal Sister Goretti Tirkey, my teachers, the entire school management and my fellow mates for bestowing their trust in me. We together will be firm on our principles and courageous in our actions.
As the newly appointed Head Girl, envisioning a dynamic and thriving school community is my utmost priority. Together, let us embark on a journey marked by excellence, inclusivity, and innovation. I encourage each student to be an active participant in this transformative process, contributing unique perspectives and embracing challenges as opportunities for growth. Our collective efforts will not only shape a brighter academic future but also cultivate an environment where everyone feels valued and inspired to excel.
Hence, let’s join hands to make our school a better place to study and grow into young confident women who are not afraid to take the highest soar in the world and surf through the globe with pride and dignity, all proud to be fruits of our blossomed Alma Mater.
Echoing the words of Venerable Mary Ward, “Women in time to come will do much,” let us come together as heralds of integrity and change.
