I, the Amartya Sen house captain of Loreto, session 2024-2025, am filled with immense gratitude and pride on being elected as a house captain. Together, we will form a group that thrives on collaboration, support and a shared commitment to excellence.
In every challenge we face and every victory we celebrate, it’s the unity within our house that will shine the brightest. Let’s embark on this journey with enthusiasm and determination. Let our actions reflect the values that define us – purity, duty and truth. Whether it’s on the sports field, in the classroom, or within our broader school community, let’s leave an indelible mark of positivity and achievement.

As the Vice Captain of Amartya Sen house my main goal is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and motivated. I want to foster sense of unity and teamwork among my housemates encouraging everyone to contribute their unique talents and ideas. I believe in the power of collaboration and communication and want to ensure that every student’s voice is heard.
My aim is not just to lead but to inspire and uplift every member of my house. I vow to carry forward Loreto legacy and to serve my school with the best of my ability.

It has got to be a vision that you articulate clearly and effectively on every occasion. My first responsibility is to define reality, the last is to say thankyou and in between I am a servant.
I pledge to work diligently, dedicating both my heart and mind to promote the spirit of our school to uphold discipline and excellence and foster an optimistic outlook. I aim towards integrity, humility and insight.

I feel immensely honoured and humbled to be conferred with the incredible opportunity of working for my house Ashok. I feel a deep sense of gratitude to the Almighty, our Principal Sr. Goretti Tirkey, teachers and my allies for the same. As a member of the Student Council, l promise to adhere to the values given to me by Loreto. Ever since I entered this school, I’ve been dreaming about all the things I would say when I finally get a chance to speak as a member of council for this school. But when I’ve finally gotten this chance, I’m filled with nothing but gratitude and nostalgia. “Teachers open the door, but you must enter it yourself” we’ve often heard people say this, but in my case, this school has not only opened the doors for me but also helped a timid and ambivalent girl enter it and explore all the great things that life has to offer. I still remember walking on the school ground when I was 14 years old and seeing some council members with their badges and flags and most importantly, their pride. That moment influenced me and led to this joyous and memorable moment. This school has gifted me with some unbreakable bonds, striking confidence, amazing hospitality and most importantly, it has acted like a second home for me. I will try my level best to give back whatever this institution has bestowed upon me with full heart. From answering teachers in the classroom to addressing students of my school as their captain, the most important thing my experience has taught me and the only advice that I would like to give my fellow schoolmates is that never hesitate to take that first step, because the only difference between the person standing on the stage and the one listening is THAT ONE STEP.

Being a Loretoite in itself brings a feeling of immense pride to me and every other alumni of this institution. It fills me with utmost contentment to be able to pen down my message as the Captain of Nehru House for the session 2024-25. Being in this institution for 14 years has taught me that merely believing in ourselves can help us reach undivulged heights. Leadership is not confined to designation, it is about impact, influence, inspiration and motivation. I, as a leader pledge that I will go all in to bring glory and pride to our honourable institution and become an individual of passion and fortitude. I believe that a leader is nothing without a team. A team is like a tool set. A single tool cannot do all the job, but with teamwork, something even incredible and miraculous can happen. So let’s join hands to make our institution hustle hard in every field and to make the Loreto banner soar high above the sky across all formats.
I can never thank our Principal and Teachers enough for carving my personality and invoking in me all the values this institution always stood for. Loreto has always been illustrious for it’s legacy and I hope that as a figurehead I can become a source for leading this legacy to a greater summit.

In 2011, I was admitted into one of the most elite schools for girls in India-Loreto convent Tara hall. The 14 years that followed by, turned out to be among the most impressionable ones of my life. The words of the School chorus– “Loreto’s name each girl reveres and hold’s it ever blest ” have resonated in my ears throughout my life .Today, being the captain of Shakespeare house, I am filled with an unwavering commitment to serve each one of my schoolmates. As a captain, I pledge that together, my housemates and I will break barriers and shatter records and leave behind the mark, not only as individuals, but as a collective force to be reckoned with. As Ralph Waldo Emerson, once quoted “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” this quote has had a great impact on my life and is slowly becoming my reality .Towards the end I am deeply filled with a feeling of gratitude towards all the teachers and the school that has moulded me to project myself as a confident young girl in front of the real world.
